Last month there was a posting contest in which 5 members won domains, hosting and other ready made revenue earning websites.
That month was a good one. More then 3000 posts were posted in just one week and the competition was a tough one. But in end one user was banned due to abuse and multiple accounts. But it happens. The member who was on the 6th position was brought in and given the 5th prize for his contributions.

Yes 15 months ago I created a web directory which is now PR 5.
I have many other sites and many directories that I own. But out of them all, I love that directory of mine the most. Because it has seen the bad and good days.
Even have to change the server due to extra traffic that has started pouring in from the search engines.

Created a squidoo lens for getting in some good deep incoming links for the sites.
One of the example can be seen here: http://www.squidoo.com/domains_forums/
You can also create your own squidoo lens and get some backlinks for inner pages of your sites. There is more to it. Like groups, lensroll, ratings and other stuff.
